Engagement

Nothing starts until we have both signed an engagement letter. It names the work, the fee, and the year it covers. This page does not replace it.

Fees

Fees are fixed and quoted before the work begins. If the scope changes we will re-quote before doing anything, not afterwards.

Fixed fees assume records arrive in a usable state. If they do not, we will say so and give you a number before we start sorting them out.

Your responsibilities

The figures we file are the ones you give us. You are responsible for their completeness and for getting records to us in time; we are responsible for the treatment and for filing on time once we have them.

Deadlines

We will tell you the internal date by which we need your records in order to meet a statutory deadline comfortably. Miss it and we will still try, but we cannot promise, and any penalty for late filing is yours.

Payment

Invoices are due within fourteen days. Work on the following year does not start while an invoice is outstanding.

Ending the engagement

Either of us can end it in writing. We will hand over what we hold to whoever takes over, promptly and without charging for the handover itself.
